The Conservation Association of Flora & Fauna (APREFLOFAS) is a private
non-political organization, and truly non-profit, founded in 1985 to fight
for conservation of our tropical forests. We are members of FECON, the
most important network of Costa Rican ecologists, and of IUCN (the World
Conservation Union).
Our main projects are centered around deforestation and illegal plant-trafficking,
illegal hunting of wild animals, contamination of our rivers and our rescue
program and relocation of birds, monkeys, reptiles and other native species.
These activities are carried out by our Volunteer Park Guards, who constitute
the foundation of our organization. Sadly, we have many necessities which
limit our work. That is why we want to build up a great group of friends
at a global level who are interested in supporting our activities. Join
our organization which truly works in the field and not in the office.
With your help we can accomplish wonderful things, just try it!
